This is the first time the resort has attained this prestigious rating, having been named a AAA Four Diamond resort since 2012, after opening in 2009. With this designation, the hotel joins its sister property, Banyan Tree Cabo Marques in Acapulco, Mexico, which has earned the AAA Five Diamond rating each year since 2013 after opening in 2010.
