Fairmont Mayakoba, the impressive five diamonds resort, located in the Riviera Maya is proud to present its new culinary artists, who will help visitors enjoy a totally revamped gastronomic experience in each of the property’s exquisite restaurants.
Mexican chef Richard Sandoval is back at his native country, providing a fully renewed experience to all restaurants in Fairmont Mayakoba. Considering his extensive knowledge regarding Mexican cuisine –with which he’s been involved since he was a kid- and top-shelf international gastronomy as well, Sandoval provides this luxury resort a fresh and different culinary experience.

The alliance of this prestigious chef and restaurateur with Fairmont Mayakoba will be a milestone within this resort’s outstanding culinary tradition, as it brings together the renovation in each of its restaurants, available since September, 2015.
Dennis Clark, Fairmont Mayakoba’s general manager expressed that this new gastronomic concept is related to the tenth anniversary of this luxurious resort, which is part of the tourism complex Mayakoba.

In addition, the new talents that will be joining this new gastronomic era, feature Jorge Creixell, who will be in charge of the food and beverages direction, while Eric de Maeyer will be the new executive chef.

Both boast an extensive career in the restaurants industry at an international level; Creixell has collaborated directing some of the most recognized restaurants, such as Les Saveurs in London, OT in Barcelona, as well as Ici, Blu and La Palma in Mexico City. De Maeyer has more than 24 years of experience that involve “Zuider Terras” Lounge Club in Belgium, and the coordination and consultancy of several hotels and restaurants like Mazzarino, L’Escargot Bistro Parisien, and Le Crouton in Mexico City.
