There are some exceptional places in the world, which have an atmosphere of magic, and have kept their traditions intact throughout time. When we stroll down their streets, when we taste their flavors, and even when breathe their air, it’s like if we’re traveling to another time; and that nostalgic sense, in addition to a wide array of special features, is what makes them be considered as Magical Towns.
But Mexico is a country so rich, that some say “it’s a country made of 32 countries”; therefore the state of Quintana Roo, renowned at a global level for having some of the most colorful, dreamlike beaches, was recently granted with two new Magical Town designations.
Though this territory was just declared as a free and sovereign state on 1974, it boasts uncountable archeological vestiges, along with charming spots that witnessed historical events.

Such is the case of Bacalar, a beautiful place, which was the only Magical Town located in the state of Quintana Roo; however, as of September 25th 2015, two more outstanding locations in this state were recognized in this category: Tulum and Isla Mujeres; both beautiful and breathtaking sites you just can’t miss.
